Choosing the right size for your snowboard

Choose the right size for your snowboard

Choosing the measurements, size and size of your next snowboard is a delicate point in which it is worth being informed to make a good decision. Today we bring you a mathematical method or formula so that you can apply it to your case. We encourage you to use it and find out the measurements of your snowboard that best suit you, your style and what you want to do with it on the snow.

The formula consists of subtracting your weight (in kilograms) from your height (in centimeters and without taking into account the first 100 centimeters, that is, we only look at the remaining centimeters after the first height meter: if we measure 170 centimeters in the face of the formula we will take it as 70). Thus, we must imagine three scenarios that, in addition, we are going to distinguish each one depending on whether we are talking about boys or girls.

Boys snowboard measurements

If you measure less than what you weigh: For example, if you measure 170 cm and weigh 75 kg. In this case you must subtract 10% from your total height. A table of 152 would suit you.

If you are taller than you weigh: For example, if you are 180cm tall and weigh 75kg. In this other case you must subtract 15% from your total height. A table of 152 would also suit you.

If you measure the same as what you weigh: For example, if you measure 175 cm and weigh 75kg. In the latter case you must subtract 12% from your total height. A 155 board would suit you.

Snowboard measurements for girls

If you measure less than what you weigh: For example, if you measure 160 cm and weigh 65 kg. In this case you must subtract 10% from your total height. A board of 142 or 146 would suit you.

If you are taller than you weigh: For example, if you are 165cm tall and weigh 60kg. In this case you must subtract 15% from your total height. A table of 142 would suit you.

If you measure the same as what you weigh: For example, if you measure 165 cm and weigh 65kg. In this case you must subtract 12% from your total height. A table of 146 would suit you.
