Photons from Outbreaks! These are the 10 best wave photos to date

Adventure and nature lovers, as well as other adventurous sportsmen, were undoubtedly impressed by the photons that the most creative photographers in the world take in front of the imposing waves of the sea, a more majestic than another. As in all art, photography is based on a concept that gives coherence to its discourse, whose relevance is key to achieving the perfect image. In the case of nature and action photographers, their concept varies according to each artist independently, however, in general terms, they aim to give prominence to the action in front of them, to movement, beauty and the imposition of the nature. Photography, which as art is inherited from the 1960s (when it went from being a simple portrait) was a participant in experimentation and creative processes that resulted in the artistic expression that today gives it precisely that title: art.

In the case of the photographers of waves, we have no doubt that they are inveterate artists who love the sea, the shores, the depth, the foam and the horizon to the utmost. They are people of all ages and of all nationalities who are completely fascinated with the dynamics of back and forth, return, twists, spikes, tubes and somersaults that the waves are capable of creating. It is true, the wave type classification is very broad, but without a doubt each artist knows very well how to capture and capture the features that give each wave its identity and its own style.

Today, photography is considered more than just art. Cameras have become indispensable instruments for infinite artist photographers to capture and express their own feelings and emotions, generating the same thing in their viewers independently and specifically: a wonderful sensation and source of inspiration for many.
With the photographs naturalistic, of action and -in this case- of the outbreak of the waves, we feel precisely that: unforgettable feelings. Do you feel the same? Take a look at these 10 of the best wave outbreak photos and tell us how they make you feel.

"My aim is to show the ocean as a living, breathing thing. To document it in all of it's intimidating strengths; and to bring awareness to its delicate fragility."

- Ray Collins

Ray Collins (born 1982) is an oceanic photographer from Thirroul, New South Wales, Australia. In 2007, a tragic accident in an underground coal mine left him with a knee injury and for several months he was unable to walk; that's when he discovered photograph . Reading and rereading the camera manual from cover to cover helped him understand the processes of photography and how to interpret and manipulate light. As rehabilitation progressed, he invested in an underwater housing to combine his new passion, photography, with his true love, the ocean.

With the goal of photographing his friends surfing in his local area and with the goal of getting just one photo published, within a few months he had captured the attention of the surfing world by adorning the covers of various international magazines with his fresh perspective and willingness to risk his personal safety to get the shot. In 2012, after several years shooting the biggest names in surfing, he put down his camera for a year, during which time he worked on the many layers of himself and decided to stop drinking alcohol. This was a crucial decision to pave his way. With the extra hours of daylight available, instead of spending afternoons in the pub and mornings hungover, he turned his attention back to the sea. This time the focus was not on the people riding the waves, but on the waves themselves.

Exploring the intricacies of water and light and capturing the ultimate burst of energy as a wave completes its journey to shore, it was there that Ray found himself. His signature style of seascapes captured the attention of the art world and nature lovers around the world. In the brief progression of his career, Ray has gone from photographing his friends surfing to being a global advocate for the ocean, partnering with some of the biggest companies in the automotive, IT & technology, aviation and fashion, while working closely with NGOs, scientists, activists and charities to help raise awareness of our current fragile environmental situation.

In the '80s and '90s he made a name for himself as a surfing pioneer on the Waimea Bay shorebreak. Clark had a unique talent for taking off in waves of hopelessly closed shorebreak and surviving in one piece.

In his own words: "Hello! My name is Warren Keelan, I'm a ocean and seascape photographer based on the south coast of New Wales South (Australia). I spend most of my days by or in the ocean, interpreting what I see through digital photography. I have always been fascinated by nature, especially the ocean and its ever-changing forms, and I feel compelled to capture and share what I consider to be special and unique moments at sea. I love the raw and unpredictable nature of moving water and the way sunlight brings it to life, both above and below the surface. For me the challenge is to create an image that hopefully tells a story or leaves an impression on the viewer. In 2013 I opened my first photo gallery in Wollongong, where I have the enormous privilege of being able to exhibit and sell my print works to local and international clients."

In his own words: professional photographer based in London, Ontario, Canada. For much of my career (23 years) I have primarily covered professional sports. During that time, I've done a lot of work with the NHL, the NBA, and the Hockey Hall of Fame. I am proud to have covered 22 Stanley Cup Championships, 9 IIHF Youth Hockey World Championships, 2 Winter Olympics, Super Bowl XL, NBA and MLB Playoffs, as well as numerous All-Star games. of the NHL, the NBA and the MLB.

What you may not know about me is that my passion for photography was born from a love of nature and wildlife. My first attempts at photography, as a child and in my teens, were of birds, creatures, and beautiful Canadian landscapes captured in a ravine just down the road from the house I grew up in, as well as in Buckhorn Lake in the Kawarthas, where I have spent most of my summer days. I have been fortunate, as an adult, to photograph beyond Canada's borders, from the frozen tundra of the Arctic to the warm waters of the South Pacific, capturing diverse wildlife such as bears, whales and sharks, to name a few. Over the past six years, my nature photography has taken me to the frigid waters of Lake Erie, where I've faced the challenge of "November gales" in my ongoing project Liquid Mountains. It has also taken me to the surf beaches of the southeast coast of Australia and to the ice caps of the Arctic and Antarctic.

Awarded and recognized Photographer and filmmaker.

In his own words: "I am a photographer from Santa Barbara, California, born in 1990. Growing up in and around the ocean has given me my favorite subject to photograph. Most of my work is related to water and the ocean lifestyle. I have also frequently incorporated my passions for travel, nature, architecture and fashion into my work. Although I strive to capture what I see as beautiful, it's often not the perfect moment.

Instead, the light, the textures and the abstract nature of the earth are what really fascinates me; the human element and the infinite variables of emotion keep me alert when working with people. I enjoy working with both film and digital media, and moving images are the apple of my eye. I dream of nothing more than visiting the next new country, capturing whatever beauty it may hold."
