"Do not be overwhelmed by obstacles."
Davide Morana He is an athlete whose story of overcoming obstacles has inspired a whole generation of athletes and non-athletes. At the age of 24, the young Italian was affected by a bacteria that would undoubtedly affect his routine but never his spirit of adventure, his desire to live and to reach further each time.
After overcoming his illness, which required the amputation of both arms and legs, the current ambassador of the Spanish Association against Meningitis has dedicated recent years to continuing his life of training and sports discipline despite the fact that his reality has undergone a change as radical as his own. With his efforts, he has become an example of inspiration.
As a representative figure of Adapted Athletics, Davide has dedicated himself to using his channels and social networks as a vehicle to inspire other athletes and people in similar conditions, and to create a public debate about meningitis, the disease that so intensely affects those who suffer from it. Today he promotes vaccination to eradicate the disease and defends the need to manufacture more and better prostheses for people affected by amputation.
Davide Morana and his partner Cecilia Cano published together 'Arriba la vida', a book dedicated to narrating in detail and without filter the story of overcomingion from Italian. Titled 'Long live life', his book It has become a memory of the process that Davide, Cecilia, their family and friends have faced and overcome.
