What skateboarding enthusiast doesn't know the name Tony Hawk? Tony Hawk needs no introduction, as he's a true legend in the world of skateboarding. Born on May 12, 1968, in California, this famous American skateboarder is known as the best skateboarder in the world. Tony Hawk entered the world of skateboarding alongside his brother, Dani Hawk, and has always been a truly hyperactive and demanding person.
His skateboarding skills were innate; by the age of 12, he already had promoters financing his career, and by 14, he became a professional skateboarder. By the time Tony Hawk turned 16, he was already considered the best skateboarder in the world, and was a member of the Bones Brigade.
This skater achieved the first 720 (720 degrees, or two complete turns) in 1985, and in 1999, he became the first skater to achieve a 900 (900 degrees, or two and a half turns). This sport, born in the United States in the middle of the last century, saw its origins due to the days of bad weather for surfing, when skate wheels began to be added to surfboards. But in the 1980s, the sport boomed, and true professional skaters began to emerge.
Despite the passing of the years, it's worth noting that Hawk remains as fresh as ever and has shown everyone that the passing of time hasn't affected him at all, and he continues to practice this sport with complete normality.
