Blanca Alabau She started windsurfing when she was 8 years old. The fact that she started at such an early age may be due to the great influence she had at home, that of her older sister, Marina Alabau, Olympic medallist and world windsurfing champion, with whom she is now, in addition to family, a teammate.
Blanca competed in the Techno293 category before moving on to RS:X, which is currently the category contested at the Olympic Games, and now she competes in Formula Foil, which will become an Olympic category in 2024.
The youngest of the Alabau sisters lives and trains in Tarifa, but travels all over the world to compete in what she was born to do: windsurfing. Although before discovering her passion for the wind she was a skilled surfer, as a windsurfer she has accumulated successes such as two world Foil runner-up positions in Portimao 2018 and Puck in 2019.
