Through the routes that make up TransAndalus, you can explore Andalusia's most precious natural landscapes. We can classify the project as part of what is known as cycle tourism, in which each person sets their own distances, stages, pace and routes.
If you like saddlebag cycling, you should know that TransAndalus is a circular route that passes through all the provinces of Andalusia, connects with the French Way, the Silver Route, the Trans-Pyrenees and the Route of El Cid Campeador resulting in a route of more than 2000 kilometersCabo de Gata, Cazoela, Despeñaperros, Montor, Sierra de Baza, Picos de Aroche, El Estrecho, Sierra Nevada... are some of the places you can stop at.
The project was carried out with the collaboration of selfless Andalusian cyclists, working in conjunction with the Andalusian Regional Government. It was a perfect response to this community, which was demanding a long-distance route, in good conditions, in a convenient location. with a climate very conducive to traveling by bicycle around natural landscapes.
This initiative offers many advantages not only for bicycle lovers, but also for the Andalusian economy since the route promotes the rural tourism, connects with sites of high tourist interest that were previously less accessible or unknown and this effect is also distributed across the eight Andalusian provinces. The stages are planned and designed to be located between towns with sufficient accommodation and services for cyclists.
