Shaun Roger White, known on the international snowboarding scene as Shaun White, was born on September 3, 1986 in Carlsbad (San Diego), California, is a professional snowboarder and skateboarder and has been proclaimed twice gold medal winner at the Olympic Games.
His parents are Irish. He was born with a serious ailment: Fallot tetralogy, a defect in the genes that affects the heart, for which reason had to undergo open-heart surgery twice before he was one year old.
He defines himself as a lifestyler, snowboarder, skateboarder, Olympic athlete, friend of his friends, brother, son and musician! He has published several songs and knows how to play the guitar . A real crack.
While Shaun establishes himself as a snowboard prodigy in the winter season, in the summer he turns to the world of skateboarding. In fact, Tony Hawk befriended him at a skate park when Shaun was only 9 years old and Tony became his mentor. What a teacher!
