Andalucía Bike Race from February 22 to 27, 2015
As we already anticipated in an article published on January 20, next Sunday, February 22, the fifth installment of the Andalucía Bike Race will begin, which starts from the town of Jaén and represents the greatest unevenness in history of the competition for those who participate: 422 kilometers of route and almost 14,000 meters of ascent through six stages.
This year the competition has broken its own participation record with almost 750 registered athletes from 30 different countries.
In the same way as last year, the Andalucía Bike Race will start in Jaén and will travel to Córdoba, where the last stage and the end of the race will take place. Rigorously designed, the course will offer great emotions, it is a race that will combine spectacular landscapes with fun layouts and a large number of trails, which will surely impress the participants. This is a competition suitable for both professionals and amateurs or veterans, in which participants will have the opportunity to share efforts and difficulties and join forces with some of the best mountain bikers on the planet.
The competition is made up of the Elite UCI male and female categories, Elite male and Female, Master 30, 40 and 50, and Mixed. The race will take place in pairs and is ideal for those 'mountain bikers' who are thinking of preparing for other stage competitions that will take place later, for those who only want to include a few hundred kilometers in their training plan before the Cross Country and Marathon seasons begin or those who simply want to enjoy an unforgettable experience.
