REFOREST PROJECT AND THE INDIAN FACE: TOGETHER TO TAKE CARE OF THE PLANET

“Those who dream the same, end up walking together”. This is the motto that defines the association Reforest Project, a non-profit organization that was born with a clear objective. In a world affected by climate change, as well as by excessive consumption of plastic and other materials that are harmful to the environment, the Reforest Project was born in 2019 as an initiative to leave a better world for future generations. Currently it is already one of the most powerful ecological organizations both nationally and internationally, and its founder knows how to inspire other people to be better.

WHO IS HIDING UNDER THE REFOREST PROJECT?

Hiding under this project is Fernando Ojeda, a businessman who has opted to transmit the values ​​of a new millennial ecology, adapted to our current situation. And how? In 2019, a group of friends concerned about the feared deforestation and the future of our planet, came together to plant the seeds of environmental transformation. Deep lovers of nature, they set out to plant trees in order to keep our forests healthy and create new ones. And the result is not bad at all: a total of 7 plantations , 40.000 trees planted and up to 2.500 collaborating partners. But it doesn't only work in Spain, Reforest Project has already expanded internationally. Its first plantation took place in Madrid in September 2019, and it is currently already present in many places in Europe such as Capri, the Netherlands... but they have also jumped the pond and have another headquarters in Los Angeles, from which they plant in Mexico and USAUU.

LONG HISTORY OF RECOGNITION

His successes are not the result of chance, but of a faithful commitment and constant work. And as a result of their work, the Reforest Project already has a series of awards behind it.

Just a few days ago, on May 31, 2022, the ELLE Eco Awards 2022 were held, an event organized by ELLE magazine that recognizes the work of those who fight for the care of the environment . One of the winners was Fernando, who received the Green Project Award. In 2021, he received the Diamond of Excellence, an award that the Spanish Luxury Association gave him in recognition of his business success and as an entrepreneur of sustainability projects.

But not only has he won prizes, but he has gone from receiving them to being the one who delivers them. On Thursday, March 3, 2022, coinciding with World Conservation Day, the first edition of the Reforest Project Awards took place. These 14 awards represent a tribute to those heroes involved in environmental work, be they institutions, companies or individuals.

REFOREST PROJECT X The Indian Face: A GREENER PLANET

But we want to tell you something, because her latest collaboration leaves no one indifferent. Reforest Project has trusted us to promote its values. But no, we are not pioneers in this nor are we the first to collaborate with the Reforest Project. In fact, their way of working and their hopes for a healthier planet have led them to collaborate with very powerful companies on the national and international scene. From the iconic Barbour, Alfa Romeo, Brownie, Estée Lauder, the IE business school, Heineken, Banco Santander... so it is an honor for us to be part of an action that inspires and supports us so much.

EXCELLENT RANGER TEAM

But he has not only collaborated with companies, they have wanted to add faces that we all know to his team of “forest rangers”. Among them Jon Kortajarena, who affirms that his life has completely changed after his work in the forests, as well as other figures from all sectors, such as Nacho Fernández, Carmen Lomana. We have even seen our beloved Román Mosteiro and Bea Márquez with boots and a shovel planting a tree themselves.

We firmly believe that any individual change is the first step for a global change, and we are sure that this is only the beginning of a long but satisfying journey. The Reforest Project team has known how to leave its mark on each and every one of us who have met it, and more and more of us are fighting to live in a better world.
